Obituary of Robert Wood

Robert C. Wood passed away January 23, 2012 under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice. Born July 13, 1936 in Akron, OH he was the son of Charles N. and Wilda Z. (McGail) Wood. Robert was a mechanic at Consolidated Freightways in Tonawanda. He raised standard bred horses for 20 years and belonged to the United States Trotting Association. Robert is survived by his wife of 56 years whom he married on July 13, 1955, Judith (Dack) Wood; father of Roberta Jean (Majid) Esfandiarfard, Nancy Renee Wood, Marjorie Joanne Stout, Robert Charles Wood, II, Gerald Richard Wood, Matthew Spangenberg and the late Judy Ann Kenney; grandfather of Jeremiah, Melissa, Jason Stout, Robert, Daniel, Brandon, Emilie Wood, Sara Esfandiarfard, and Elise Wood; father-in-law to Fred Kenney; brother of Maxine (Walter) Henkel and Doris (Harold) Farmer; also several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-8 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will immediately follow on Friday at 8 PM.
