Obituary of Mary LaRose

Mary Elizabeth LaRose, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, 95, of Lockport entered into rest January 22, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She and her husband Philip established LaRose's Farm Market & Garden Center in 1946 which she continued to operate with her sons for 65 years. Mary will be sorely missed while her sons carry on the business. She had been an active member of St. Joseph's Alter & Rosary Society for many years. Mary was born on March 12, 1916 in Bari, Italy, her parents were the late Anthony and Anna Carullo Juliana. She married Philip LaRose on July 6, 1936, he predeceased her on March 28, 1980.
Mary is survived by her children Anna Marie (John) Parisi of Millbrook, NY, Stephen (Gail) LaRose of Lockport, Philip (Judith) LaRose, Jr. of Safety Harbor, FL, and Anthony (Lisa Horn) LaRose of Lockport; grandmother of Dr. Susan (James Clark) Parisi, Anthony (Sinead McLaughlin) Parisi, Dr. Mary Beth (Mark Langley) Parisi, Ann Marie (fiancé Christopher Ozolins) Parisi, Stephen (Susan) LaRose, Michael (Kristine) LaRose, Charles LaRose, Philip LaRose, III, Jason LaRose and the late Nicole LaRose; great grandmother of Isabella, Annaeliese, and Alexander Clark, Giovanna, Annabella, and Marco Langley, Vanessa and Nicholas LaRose, Jenna, Jillian, and Julia LaRose and Charles LaRose; sister of Camille (Thomas) Biondo, Jean ( Louis) LaBello, JoAnn (Gregory) Pope and the late Louise (Samuel) Muscarella, Jenny (Angelo) Malacaro, Lena Juliana, Margaret (Pat) Hugart, Rose (Ted) Kirkpatrick, Pat (Daniel) Santangelo, and Nicholas (Joanne) Juliana; sister-in-law of Joanne (Dominic) DiGiusppe and the late Sadie (Sal) Costanzo, Catherine (Ken) Certo and Anthony (Violet) LaRose; several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday 4-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 AM in All Saints Parish at St. Joseph's Oratory, 391 Market St., Lockport. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.
