Irma Staples passed away Wednesday January 18, 2012 in Niagara Hospice House, Lockport. Born April 12, 1913 in Newfane, she was the daughter of the late Edward G. and Jane Garbatt Staples. She was an Executive Secretary at Corsen Manufacturing, retiring in 1975. Irma was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, where she volunteered in various church groups. She also volunteered at Lockport Memorial Hospital for 19 years, and enjoyed gardening and reading.
Irma was the sister of the late Marjorie H. Staples. She is survived by cousins and her dear friends, Dan and Marybeth Wilson of Lockport.
There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to a graveside service, Saturday April 14, 2012 at 11 AM in Hartland Central Cemetery. Memorials to the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 75 East Avenue, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com.
