Obituary of Joan Mullen-Smith

Joan Mullen-Smith passed away December 23, 2011 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born July 27, 1944 in Buffalo she was the daughter of Vincent E. and Rose (Dallesandro) Mullen. Joan worked for Sherwood Cell Pack in production. She was very talented and crafty, enjoyed working on crafts, ceramic dolls and loved when people would visit her.
Joan is survived by her loving husband of 21 years David G. Smith; mother of Danny Smith, Charlene Smith, Lee (Debbie) Smith, Tracy (Stephanie) Smith, Davenee (Joe) Klietz; grandmother of twelve; great grandmother of four; sister of Chuck Mullen, Shirley (late Tony) Casalinouvo, Edward (Wendy), Clyde (Frannie), Edmund (Sharon) Mullen and the late Evelyn (late Marty) Abernathy, Angela (late Tony) Fonzi, Vincent (Shirley), Donald (Kathy), and James (Karen) Mullen; also survived by her two Pekinese dogs Sasha & King and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where prayers will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.
