Joyce E. Brado, 84, passed away December 12, 2011 in Absolut of Gasport Health Care Facility. Born March 13, 1927 in Lockport she was the daughter of Elton and Frances (Schumacher) Brado. Joyce worked for Norton Labs for many years where she was an executive assistant, briefly at Harrison Radiator and retired at the age of 75 from Niagara County Department of Social Services. She was an active member of the former St. Peter's United Church of Christ, former member of the Lockport Chorale and lifelong member of the Republican Club of Lockport. Joyce enjoyed cooking and baking fruit cakes to give out as gifts during the holidays.

Joyce is survived by her nephew, Roger (Virginia) McEldowney, greatnieces Elizabeth McEldowney and Barbara Stachura, greatnephews David Stachura andAlan Stachura, and the Schumacher family. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and friends and will be remembered as a loving and proud "Aunt" to all.
