Betty Wintersteen Donald passed away Sunday December 4, 2011 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born January 19, 1920, in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Olive Dell Wintersteen. Her family moved to Lockport in 1932, where she attended school, graduating from Lockport Senior High School in 1938. She worked in various places before WWII, including Simonds, Saw and Steel and Carborundum Co., in Niagara Falls. She later went to work and retired from Dr. Fricke, MD. In 1946, she met and married William Donald of Sanborn, who passed away in 1989. Betty is survived by her daughter Rebecca (Michael) Sullivan of Lockport; her grandsons Eric (Robin) Sullivan and Todd (Toni) Sullivan. Betty is the great grandmother of Eric, Morgan and Megan Sullivan. She was the sister of Charles D. (Mary) Wintersteen of Lockport and the late Barbara W. Depew. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service Saturday at 2 PM in the First Presbyterian Church, 21 Church St., Lockport. Inurnment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
