Obituary of Bette O'Connor

Bette Mae O'Connor passed away November 26th, 2011 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Bette was born March 11, 1919 in Pittsburg, PA, the daughter of Bernard and Lillian (nee Sutherland) Flory. She served in the US Navy from June 1944 to August 1946, upon returning she moved to Lockport where she married James J. O'Connor on June 25, 1949, he passed away March 23, 1999. She was employed as secretary for Richard Lein, Atty. for 17 years retiring in 1987.
Bette was member of St. Patrick's Church, St. Patrick's Mothers Club and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed al her club activities, but mostly she enjoyed her time spent with family and friends.
Bette was the loving mother of four sons; Richard J. (Hillary) O'Connor of Silver Springs, MD, James E. (Joan) O'Connor of Elma, NY, Timothy O'Connor of Grand Island, NY and Kevin O'Connor of Boynton Beach, FL; she also is survived by six grandchildren, her sister Audrey (the late Robert) Tracy of Lockport and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street where prayers will be offered Wednesday morning at 10:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 o'clock in All Saints Parish at St. Patrick's Church, 76 Church Street, Lockport.
