Obituary of Anthony Sperduti

Anthony E. Sperduti passed away November 22, 2011 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport NY. Born August 24, 1927 in Lockport, the son of the late Joseph and Secondina Sperduti. Tony was a graduate of Lockport Senior High School, and University of Buffalo. He served in the Army during both World War II and the Korean War. He was employed by Harrison Radiator for 36 years as a draftsman, engineer, and finally in sales. Tony was member of The Elks Club, St Anthony's and St Mary's Churches of Lockport. After his retirement from Harrison Radiator in 1988, he and his wife spent their winters in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, and woodworking. Above all Tony loved spending time with his family, children and especially his grandchildren. Much of that time was spent watching and cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jean (LeFavor) Sperduti. He will be sadly missed by his children, Mark (Maria) Gamble, Kristina (Craig) Holler and Anthony (Marsha) Sperduti. Cherished grandfather to Terri Lee, Carol George, Rhiannon Gamble, Marisa (Dominic) Cruz, Kelly (Matthew) Forister, Eric Holler, Lucas and Jackson Sperduti. He was the beloved uncle to Cynthia (Mark) Kraatz, and nephews Timothy Korff and John (Karen) Sperduti. He was predeceased by his sister Amelia (Samuel) Korff and John (Nina) Sperduti.
Relatives and friends may call Friday 1-3 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where prayers will be offered Saturday at 12:30 pm followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 1 PM in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 5 Saxton St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to Lockport Little League, PO Box 1179, Lockport NY 14095 would be appreciated by the family.
