Obituary of Stella Rosetti

Stella L. Rosetti passed away November 18, 2011 at Eastern Niagara Hospital. Stella was born February 2, 1921 and was the daughter of Salvatore and Carmela Giglia Licata. Stella was married February 2, 1952 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church to Nicholas Rosetti formerly of Pittston, Pennsylvania who predeceased her on September 4, 2007. She worked as an inspector at Harrison Radiator, div. of General Motors during World War II and as a bookkeeper for Licata Brothers Wholesale, the family business owned and operated by her brothers, Thomas, Joseph, Salvatore and Carl. Nick and Stella owned and operated The Keg Restaurant in Gasport where she became well known for her pizzas and her spaghetti and meatballs. In her retirement Stella enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and loved taking care of her gardens. She had become especially fond of Bingo and enjoyed the friendships she made. Stella was the devoted mother of Angeline (Dennis J.) Stachera of Lockport, NY, Carmella M. Hanley of Williamsville, NY and Peter N. (DeAnn) Rosetti of Fort Worth, Texas; loving grandmother of Stephanie C. (Jayson Kaulesar) Stachera of New York, NY, Anastasia N. (Samuel) Tiranno of Tonawanda, NY, Amy Elizabeth Hanley and Micheal J. Hanley of Williamsville, NY, David (Jenny) Bemish and James Bemish of Fort Worth, Texas . Stella was the precious great grandmother of Samantha Rosa Tiranno. Dedicated sister to Joseph S. Licata of Lockport NY, Louis N. (the late Marian) Licata of Lockport, NY, Lawrence C. (Elaine) Licata of Daytona Beach, FL and the late Thomas J. (late Theresa), Salvatore W. (Mary), Carl J. (late Anna Ruth,) Vincent J. (Shirley) and Dominic S. Licata; Survived by sisters-in-law Angeline Bonito of Medina, NY and Josephine Marriot of Exter, PA. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Friends may call Monday afternoon 2 to 8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where prayers will be offered Tuesday morning at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 391 Market Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum. Memorials to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association, would be appreciated by the family. <h3>Visitation</h3> Friends may call Monday afternoon 2 to 8 PM <h3>Services</h3> Prayers will be offered at the funeral home Tuesday morning at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 391 Market Street, Lockport. <h3>Interment</h3> Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.
