Bertha J. Maiorana passed away November 18, 2011, in Briody Health Care Facility. Bertha was born March 29, 1917 in Lockport,NY the daughter of Loretto and Stephania Maiorana Sanmarco. She worked at Harrison Radiator; Div. of General Motors as an assembler and enjoyed cooking, her garden and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. Bertha was predeceased by her husband, Samuel A. Maiorana on January 24, 1972.
She was the loving mother of Nunzio (Charlotte) Maiorana of Florida, Larry (Mary) Maiorana of Las Vegas, NV and Camille (John) Pasceri of Lockport and the late Freda E. Maiorana; grandmother of David and Lt. Col (Ret) Joseph (Lisa) Maiorana, Ann-Marie (Jay) Towell, Julie M Maiorana, Dominic (Molly) and Samuel (Virginia) Pasceri; step-grandmother to Joseph, Patty, Karen, James, Rhondalyn, Kristy and Maria, Veronica, Melissa, Jonnie and Anthony Fabrizio; great grandmother to Michel, Emiley, Alyssa, Collin and McKayla, Joseph, Dominic and Sarah. Bertha also was the sister of the late Joseph, Benedetto, Carmelo and Daniel Sanmarco; sister-in-law of Florence Sanmarco and dear cousin of Mary D'Amico and Sarah Maiorana.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8 P.M. in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where prayers will be offered Monday morning at 9:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 o'clock in St. Joseph's Church, 391 Market Street, Lockport.
