Doris B. Stump entered into eternal rest at Niagara Hospice House Thursday November 10, 2011 with her loving family by her side. Doris was known as &amp;quot;Everybody&amp;#39;s Perfect Grandmother&amp;quot;, born October 23, 1915, in Buffalo to Albert and Edith Peters. Married to Carlton Stump, November 15, 1935 where they resided in Cambria. Carlton predeceased Doris July 1986 after 51 years of marriage. Doris was a warm, generous, faithful and strong woman, who loved her family, all children and had a gift for beautiful flowers. She served her Lord all of her life, including being Sacristan of St. Mary&amp;#39;s Church in Lockport for over 25 years. She was also a member of St. Mary&amp;#39;s Eucharistic Ministry, Greeter, Minister of the Word, Travel Club, Ladies of Charity, Altar and Rosary Society and the Dale Association. In 2006 Doris received the first &amp;quot;Marian Award&amp;quot; for &amp;quot;the Parishioner who best illustrated the spirit of Christianity&amp;quot;. She was also awarded the &amp;quot;St. Joseph the Worker&amp;quot; award, an award &amp;quot;to recognize unsung heroes of the church&amp;quot; in 1996 from Bishop Edward Head. She was employed by Cease Food Services at Harrison Radiator until her retirement in1985 to care for her husband, Carlton. Doris was the cherished mother of Ronald C., San Jose, CA, Carolyn J. Nemec, Gasport, NY and Donald R. (Jeanette), Lewiston, NY. Grandmother of Christina (Douglas) Visger, Lockport, NY, Charles A. Nemec, Jr., Gasport, NY, Carlton R. Nemec, Gasport, NY and Johanna R. Stump, Rochester, NY. Great-Grandmother of Jonathan E. Bennett, Jr, Joshua E. Bennett, Charles A. Nemec, III, Caitlyn A Nemec, Brandon K. Nemec, baby Emma Victoria Visger and the late Carlton R. Nemec, Jr. Sister to Rita (late Lester) Meiser, Lockport, NY, Betty (late Trivett) Currier, Clarence, NY, Fred (Norma) Peters, Reno, NY. Also the late Raymond Peters, Albert Peters, Helen (Tony) Mudrzynski, Alice Greene, Margaret Brucker and Richard Peters. Family includes several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Saturday and Sunday 3-7 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 1 PM in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 5 Saxton St., Lockport with dear friend Fr. Gary Kibler officiating. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery, St. Mary&amp;#39;s On the Hill. Donations to Niagara Hospice or a children's charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
