George H. Stoner passed away November 8, 2011 in Mercy Hospital, Buffalo. George was born in Olean, NY and was one of nine children of Margaret Fisher Stoner and David Franklin Stoner. He is survived by his brother John Fisher, sisters Ruth Bixbie, Bray and Rachel Gross; his children George H. (Tonia) Stoner, Gary E. Stoner, Gregory A. (Sandra) Stoner, Rebecca Stoner, Roxanne M. Stoner, Grant L. Stoner and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. George was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Chellis) Stoner and son Glen F. Stoner. He was a past elder and deacon at the First Presbyterian Church of Lockport. George was a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Corps of Engineers USAR (United States Army Reserves). He enlisted in the Army in 1948 and joined the National Guard in 1950 and retired in 1977. George retired in 1987 as a tool and die man from Harrison Radiator. His passion was flying and he was a flight instructor of single engine aircraft for over 30 years. George was the owner of Erie Airways.
