Emmett Scott passed away September 13, 2009 in the Fairchild Manor Health Facility, Lewiston. Born January 20, 1915 in Andalusia, AL he was the son of the late George and Fanny (Brogdan) Scott. Emmett served in the US Army during WW II. He worked in production at General Motors Powertrain in Tonawanda retiring in 1977. Emmett was predeceased by his wife Julia (Pirinelli) Scott in May of 1992. Emmett is survived by his daughter Judith (Gary) Prokop of Lockport; grandfather of William (Wendy) Hoffman of North Carolina, Eric (Marisa) Prokop, Jonathan (Jessica) Prokop both of Niagara Falls and Kelly Lee of Binghamton; great grandfather of Erin, Jason Hoffman and Saralynn Lee; Marie Dixon, Kate Pitts both of Alabama, Jewell Dubois of Georgia and predeceased by eight siblings; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday 12-2 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will immediately follow at 2 PM. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls.
