Joseph R. Newman passed away October 28, 2011 under the care of his loving family and Niagara Hospice. Born September 25, 1936 in Lockport he was the son of Arthur and Madeline (Carducci) Newman. Joseph worked in production for 28 years at Simons Saw & Steel and then worked for 20 years at Danny Sheehan's Restaurant. He also served in the National Guard. Joseph enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Joseph is survived by his wife Mary (Smith) Newman of Lockport; father of Brenda (Scott) Huntington, Karen (Sal) Gaglione and Jeanne Reinhardt; grandfather of six and great grandfather of two; brother of Robert (late Vivian) Newman Joyce (Roy) Laubacker, and Kathy (Bill) DeCesare and; several nieces and nephews.
