Obituary of Patricia Riley

Patricia "Pat" A. Riley passed away October 24, 2011, after a long illness in Briody Health Care Facility. Born October 30, 1929, in Lockport, she was the daughter of Donald and Blanche (Chaplin) Stoll. Before her marriage, Pat worked for the Lewis, Bell, and Symes Law Office, where she was the secretary. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree at age 61, graduating summa cum laude from Canisius College. Pat then worked in the Psychology Department for six years at Canisius. She was a member of All Saints Parish at St. Patrick's Church, where she was a member of the Parish Council and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Pat enjoyed traveling, reading, art, and music.
Pat is survived by her husband John Riley of Lockport; her children Rev. John Patrick Riley, CSC, of South Bend, IN; Thomas Michael (Mary) Riley of Napa, CA; Daniel Joseph Riley, MD, of San Antonio, TX; Matthew Kevin Riley of Buffalo; Mary Margaret "Peg" Merrill of Lockport, and Kathleen Louise Riley of Columbus, OH; six grandchildren; her sister Donna (William) Beshaw of Lockport; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Donald J. and Robert W. Stoll.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, where prayers will be offered Thursday at 11 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in All Saints Parish at St. Patrick's Church, 76 Church St., Lockport.
