Obituary of Josephine Arter

Josephine Marie Arter passed away Saturday October 22, 2011 in Eastern Niagara Hospital-Lockport. Born May 13, 1928 in Lockport, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Frances Cadili Corica. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking but spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren was what she enjoyed most. Josephine was a member of St. Patrick's R.C. Church. She is predeceased by her husband, Arnold B. Arter, who passed away in July of 1987.
Josephine is survived by her children David B. (Kathy) Arter of Lockport, John F. (Lyn Ostalski) Arter of Pendleton, Cathi J. (David) McCaa of Middleport, Richard P. (Carla) Arter of Lockport, and Thomas M. (Mia) Arter of Prairie City, IA.; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Josephine was the sister of Frank Corica of Lockport, Katie Drilling and Mary Doraski, both of Buffalo, and the late Tony, Blase, Joe, John and Sam Corica. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday 4 to 8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 11 AM at All Saints Parish, in St. Patrick's Church, 76 Church Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm and Carlton Streets, Buffalo, NY 14263, would be appreciated by the family.
