Sophia Brunner Obituary
Sophia Brunner passed away October 22, 2011 in Absolut of Gasport. Born October 1, 1920 in Budapest, Hungary, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Esther Szekelyhidi. Sophia worked as a laundress for the Niagara County Infirmary for many years. She enjoyed quilting and gardening.
Sophia is survived by her children Frederick Serefin, Sophia Brunner and Henrik (Janis) Brunner all of Lockport. She was the grandmother of Erik Serafin of Emmett, KS., Kerin Jendrzejewski of Wilkes Barre, PA., and Ian and Nolyn Brunner, both of Lockport. Sophia is also survived by 12 Great Grandchildren.
Friends may call Tuesday evening 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 AM in Glenwood Mausoleum. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum. Memorials to a charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
