Frances Loraine Schaffert of Lockport, NY entered into rest on Thursday, October 20, 2011 in Odd Fellows Rebekah Home in Lockport, NY. Born October 18, 1920 she was the daughter of John & Sarah Leininger of Lockport, NY. Frances attended Lockport High School graduating in the Class of 1939. She was employed at W.T Grants and Harrison Radiator. Frances married John "Jack" L. Schaffert on June 20, 1953. Frances and Jack celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on June 20, 2011. Jack & Frances owned and operated Gray's Grill from 1950-1972. They then owned and operated Schaffert's from 1972-1981 until their retirement in 1981. Frances was a kind and caring person who was always thinking of others. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their events. Frances loved nature and feeding the animals, as well as, doing puzzles. One of her favorite things was to sit outside and enjoy the many visitors company who came to their home. Frances was a member of St. Mary's Church.

Frances is survived by her loving husband John L. Schaffert and children Arlene (Stephen) Wallace and Michael (Mary) Schaffert all of Lockport. Grandchildren Krystal Bowden of

New York City, NY, Mark Wallace, Lockport, NY, Ashley Schaffert of Boston, MA, and Taylor Schaffert of Lockport, NY. Also, survived by sister-in-law Margaret "Nan" (late Charles) Shaw; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister, Alice Warner.

The family will be present to receive friends on Sunday, from 2-6, at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 AM in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 5 Saxton St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
