Obituary of Edmond Sendker

Edmond William Sendker, 82, of Pendleton, NY entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 13, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Born May 9, 1929 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of Edmond S. and Gladys (Hea) Sendker .
Ed was the precious husband of Joan (Rook) Sendker for fifty-two years. Their marriage together was a long lasting love affair resulting in fond memories which will be cherished forever. He was the devoted father of Lisa A. (Frank Wasik) Sendker of Pendleton, NY and Amy M. (Angelo) Marcantonio of the Town of Niagara, NY, and the treasured grandfather of Gianna N. and Alicia M. Marcantonio. He is also survived by his brother Ronald C. (Arlaine) Sendker of Clarence, NY, his sister-in-law Nancy (George) Stanley of Akron, NY, and several nieces and nephews.
Ed graduated from the State University of New York Institue of Applied Arts & Sciences in Buffalo (ECC) with an Associates Degree in Industrial Chemistry . He was the Chief Chemist at Milward Alloys in Lockport, NY for 24 years before retiring in 1991.
He was a dedicated member of St. Pauls United Church of Christ, Wendelville, NY for 43 years, where his passion was singing in the church choir and teaching Sunday School. He enjoyed paint-by-numbers, cooking, watching the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, and most of all, spending time with his two granddaughters.
Ed will be remembered by all for his easy going nature and good humor. He was very special to all who knew him.
There will be no prior visitation. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. All of Ed's family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of His Life, which will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 7416 Campbell Blvd., Wendelville, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

All of Ed's family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of His Life, which will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 7416 Campbell Blvd., Wendelville, NY.
