Obituary of Jack Layer

Jack Kevin Layer passed away October 8, 2011 at home. Born November 3, 1940 he was the son of Wilfred and Elinor (Rainsberg) Layer. Jack is at 1960 graduate of Desales High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp as a Lance Corporal from 1963-1967. After serving in the Marines he worked for NY Telephone as a frame tech.
Jack was the father of Deborah (Bill) Layer-Menshon, Sharon (Scot) Snaith and Kevin (Rita) Layer; Grandfather of Matthew and Jessica Menshon, Abbey Rose and Andrew Snaith, and Emily and Jacob Layer; Brother of Linda (George) Tabraham; Uncle of Marc (Ju Vi) and Patty Tabraham. Also survived by several great Nieces and Nephews and Cousins.
Friends may call Tuesday 7 to 9 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where a memorial service will be held Wednesday October 12, 2011 at 11AM.
