I am an ON BOCES teacher who didn't know Bill very well but what I can tell you is what a kind man he was when it came to giving our annual safety inservices. He also helped me put together my classroom's MSDS manual. The thing that I will remember most about Bill are his eyes. My father had eyes that looked just like Bill's. Kind of sad but soulful. I lost my Dad 10 yrs ago but Bill helped me to think of him often. I wish I could have had more time and had gotten to knwo him better. I will miss him. May he rest in peace

May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared, comfort you now and in the days ahead. I share in your loss of my youthful friend whose friendship lasted a lifetime. Words seem inadequate to express the sadness I feel, but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I met Billy when I was 6 years old and we quickly became friends. We were like brothers, he even called my parents Aunt Betty and Uncle Ed. We grew up exploring, fishing, biking, hiking, swimming, camping and playing sports. An adventure every day-what a great childhood! We laughed, fought and even cried together. I have never known a tougher person; always helping and mentoring. So capable; and constantly there to help-always. I know how lucky I an for knowing Billy and will carry and cherish the memories we had, for the rest of my life. My heart hurts for Billy and those left behind. It will be a long time before laughter beats out the tears when I think of Billy. When we met again, I know Billy will lead the way for me. What a friend, in all ways. Eddie

I am so deeply saddened to hear about the death of Bill. You are in my thoughts and prayers, and Bill's memories will be carried with me forever. Bill was such a kind person, always giving of himself and helping others first. We were good friends since our late teen years and through our twenties, he taught me patience and understanding and also how to enjoy life. He stood by me in my wedding, and many other successes and failures throughout my life. I hope I was there for him as well. One of my fondest memories was a trip that Bill and I took across the U.S. to California and back. So many laughs and good times we had. Another fast and furious trip was to DC and back to Buffalo in a short weekend. I can't count all the good memories we shared without emotions of laugher and now tears. I know how much you and everybody that knew Bill will miss him and I shall equally. May God bless you and your family during this time and always. Paul

Dear Ms. Janet and Erik, No words can expess the sorrow I have for the passing of your loved one. Mr. Bill was a wonderful man. In the years I have known Mr. Bill, he has taught me many things regarding the part of my job with Ospra here at the school district. One thing he always talked about was his wife, how proud he was of his son, and of all the acccomplishments his son has made. My prayers are with you both, and with Mr. Bill.

We are a brother and sister team of teachers who work at George M. Southard Elementary School and wanted to express our deepest sympathies to the family. "The Safety Man" as he became known to us, always kept our yearly meeting moving and the importance of his message was clear. His knowledge helped us understand and even at our homes we keep things labeled. We were both saddened to learn of his passing, and our prayers are with you.
