Ignatius C. "Buck" Fura, of Wilson, passed away into the hands of the Lord September 14, 2011 in Odd Fellow & Rebekah Health Care Facility. Born in Lockport on July 30, 1916 he was 95 years old and the son of Michael and Ursula Cach Fura. Buck worked in production at Harrison Radiator retiring in 1972 after 33 years. He enjoyed farming especially strawberries and grapes and also horse racing and loved to dance. Buck was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church.

Buck is survived by his daughter Sue (Michael) Sullivan of Covina, CA; grandfather of Timothy, John Bytington and Christine Hauser; great grandfather of John Paul, Ward, Miles, Hanna Byington and Josephine and Faith Hauser; great great grandfather of Brice Byington; brother of the late Joseph (Mary) Fura, Nellie (Santo) Fruscione, Anna (George) White, John Fura, George (Jennie) Fura and William (Marge) Fura; brother-in-law of Helen Fura; several nieces and nephews; loving companion of the late Dorothea Mark; also survived by his caregivers Joan (Narvie) Salter, William (Cathy) Fura, Keith Mark, and Ann (Charles) Horton; dear friend of Aretha Collins.

Relatives and friends may call Monday 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 391 Market St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
