Obituary of Bernice Ennis

Bernice M. "Mac" Ennis passed away September 11, 2011 in the Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. She was born May 31,1925 in Lynn, MA, the daughter of the late Ranald and Katherine (Lowell) McDonald. Bernice graduated from Mt. St. Mary's Nursing School and worked as a nurse for the United Church Colony Home, retiring in 1985, and enjoyed reading, playing cards and especially spending time with her grandchildren and family. She is predeceased by her husband James F. Ennis, who passed away in 1997.
She is survived by her children Molly Ennis, Michael (Kristine) Ennis, Maura (Joseph) DiPasquale, Mark (Rolann) Ennis and Megan Ennis, all of Lockport. Grandmother of Corey (Joseph) Wagner, Ryan, Nathan, Connor and Quinn Ennis. Bernice is also survived by her sister Sandra Stephenson of Marblehead, OH.
Friends may call Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where prayers will be offered Wednesday morning at 10:30 AM, followed by a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to Sister Helen's Food Pantry, 160 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
