Leonard Joseph Chiappone, went home to be with the Lord September 9, 2011. Leonard was born May 11, 1930 in Lockport, the son of Joseph and Mary (Baglia) Chiappone. "Lenny" worked at Harrison Radiator, Div. of G.M. where he was a carpenter/millwright retiring in April 1989 after 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, archery, playing bocce and in his earlier years was an avid body builder, but spending time with family and friends was what he enjoyed most.
He was the loving husband of the late Carol Ann Ingram Chiappone who passed away January 4, 2007; dearest father of Debra Lynn (John) Gibbons of Gasport and Thomas James Chiappone of Florida; loving grandfather of Myrla (Michael) Gibbons Doxey, Nicholas Frank Chiappone and Christina Remigio; great grandfather of Branden Joseph Chiappone, Gianna Marie Remigio, soon to be Braxton Michael Doxey and the late Maxwell Thomas Remigio. Len is also the brother of Angela (the late Philip) Speer of Houston, TX and the late N. Frank Chiappone and Esther Mae Lach. He also leaves his sister in law Mildred Chiappone and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday and Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in the Hartland Bible Church, 8110 West Ave., Gasport, NY. At Lenny's request the Rev. Frank BonGiovanni will officiate. Memorials to the American Heart Association, 20 Northpointe Pkwy., Amherst, NY 14228 would be appreciated by the family.

Services
A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in the Hartland Bible Church, 8110 West Ave., Gasport, NY. At Lenny's request the Rev. Frank BonGiovanni will officiate.
Interment
Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.
