Obituary of Townsend Jones

Townsend "Ted" Jones passed away September 8, 2011 after his battle with Leukemia. Ted was born February 4, 1946 in Lockport to Wallace and Margaret (Townsend) Jones. Ted was a great husband to Kathleen (Spearin) Jones and best father to his daughters Lyndsay (Matt) Niemiec and Jennifer Jones. He is also survived by his grandson Jeffrey Jones; brother of Janelle (Charles) Polito of Georgia; brother-in-law of Irene (Art) McCollum, Cherrie (Rea) Main, Selwyn (Donna) Spearin, Celeste (Rick Binder) Zuppa, Ken (Lourdes Roman) Spearin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ted attended SUNY Morrisville earning his associate's degree. He was a sales rep for Industrial Safety for 17 years. Ted was active in establishing and playing in local softball leagues and he enjoyed golfing. Relatives and friends may call Friday, September 9th from 4-8 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Saturday, September 10th at 10 AM.
