Obituary of Lola (Armagost) Smith

Lola June (Armagost) Smith, age 80, went to be with her Lord on August 28th after a massive stroke. She was born on June 25, 1931, in Reynoldsville, PA, to Fred and Reba Armagost. Lola was a resident of the town of Lockport for over 50 years and a long time member of Rapids Bible Church. She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, George Smith, and four of their children: Gary (Yon) Smith, Gail (Philip) Rehard, Ruth (Kenneth) VanDick, and Lori Martin. Also surviving her are 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Lola was predeceased by a son Glenn J. Smith and 2 of her sisters. Lola was a partner in the family farm, a homemaker, and Mummum to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will also be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. A graveside service in Acacia Park Cemetery will be held Saturday, September 10th at 11 AM followed by an open house for friends and family at the family farm.
