Lola (Armagost) Smith Obituary

Lola June (Armagost) Smith, age 80, went to be with her Lord on August 28th after a massive stroke. She was born on June 25, 1931, in Reynoldsville, PA, to Fred and Reba Armagost. Lola was a resident of the town of Lockport for over 50 years and a long time member of Rapids Bible Church. She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, George Smith, and four of their children: Gary (Yon) Smith, Gail (Philip) Rehard, Ruth (Kenneth) VanDick, and Lori Martin. Also surviving her are 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Lola was predeceased by a son Glenn J. Smith and 2 of her sisters.


Lola was a partner in the family farm, a homemaker, and Mummum to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will also be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews.


A graveside service in Acacia Park Cemetery will be held Saturday, September 10th at 11 AM followed by an open house for friends and family at the family farm. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be sent to Niagara Hospice, Inc., Alzheimer's Association or the Arthritis Foundation. Visit www.pruddenandkandt.com.

A graveside service in Acacia Park Cemetery will be held Saturday, September 10th at 11 AM followed by an open house for friends and family at the family farm.
