Vera Louise Class age 96, passed away August 24, 2011. She was born July 4, 1915 in Emporium, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Clipson and Dessie Alena (Lewis) Martin. She graduated from Emporium High School in 1932. Vera attended International School of Beauty, Buffalo and was a beautician for 43 years owning Louise Class Shoppe from 1960 to 1980 located on Saunders Settlement Road, Lockport. She married Henry P. Class, June 19,1937, they were married 56 years when he passed away April 20, 1993. She was a founding member and past Secretary of the Lock City Motorcycle Club, Niagara Chapter, member of the Wendleville Senior Center, St. Paul's United Church of Christ on Mapleton Road where Louise belonged to the Women's Guild. She was an avid wrestling fan, enjoyed playing cards and visiting Las Vegas.
Louise is survived by her children Clipson Henry (Carol Ann) Class of Grand Island, Thomas Charles (Joan Marie) Class of Pendleton, Ann Catherine (late Clarence) Preston of Albion and the late John Paul Class; grandmother of seventeen and great grandmother of twenty-two; sister of Laura Billingsley of Cambria, the late Lewis Delmar Martin and Helen Anna Hagen; she also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday 1-5 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 AM. Interment will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery. Donations to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated.
