Obituary of Rosalie Swendsen

Rosalie C. Swendsen passed away August 26, 2011 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Facility, Lewiston. Born September 12, 1939 in Lockport she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Rose (O'Regan) Patterson. Rosalie enjoyed volunteering at the Lockport Soup Kitchen and also worked with the Meet Your Neighbors group. She is predeceased by her husband Norman Swendsen on January 9, 2003, her one daughter Jane Baker on February 4, 2011 and Elmer J. Patterson, II.
Rosalie is was the mother of Elizabeth (Jim) Thompson of Long Island, Linda Caraco of Lockport, Tammy Heinrich of Pennsylvania and Patricia Rhodes of Fort Erie, Ontario; grandmother of Ricky, Jason, Cherylynn and Danielle Baker, Zackery, Aaron and Carter Caraco, Steven Swendsen, Autumn Rhodes and Samantha and Stephanie Heinrich. and great grandmother of Blaze, Jax, Bianca and Jordan Brinley, Chase Baker and Julia Aikin; sister of Blanche (Melvin) Wise, Theresa (Larry) Hornsby, Edward Patterson, and the late Ralph, Earl Patterson and Anna Mae Daley; sister in law of Patricia Patterson; several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Monday 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
