Eveline A. Mills passed away August 24, 2011 in Briody Health care Facility. Born May 4, 1914 in Pawtucket, RI she was the daughter of Ernest and Eulalie (Dufresne) Alix. She was the bookkeeper for Pies Furniture, Lockport. Eveline was an avid golfer belonging to the Ladies Golf Association and an active member of Brookfield Country Club. She was also a member of St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church. Eveline was predeceased by her husband Albert L. Mills in 1991 and son A. Dennis Mills.

Eveline is survived by her children Michael Mills of Indianapolis, IN, Maureen Mills of Lockport and Rosemary (Ralph) Leavell of Ft. Smith, AR; grandmother of Kristen Hyland, Matthew (Tamara) Leavell, Adam (Jennifer) Leavell and Justin (Robin) Leavell; great grandmother of Lacey, Lyndley, Caleb, Nicholas and Caden Leavell; mother-in-law of Barbara Mills; sister of the late Neree, Julian and Philip Alix; sister-in-law of Evelyn Alix of Michigan and Amy Averill of North Carolina; also survived by her caregiver Lynn Cook and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday 4-6 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Monday at 10 AM. Interment will be in Elmlawn Cemetery. Donations to the Briody Scholarship Fund, 909 Lincoln Ave., Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated.
