Dale Pollock Obituary

Dale A. Pollock passed away quietly on September 6, 2009. Loving Husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. He lived for his family, Dale leaves behind a loving family and many friends, that through great sorrow are also joyous, knowing he will always provide a path for his family to follow as he awaits us in God's Kingdom. Born April 28, 1934 in Detroit, MI., he is the son of Priscilla (nee DeGano) and the late Vernon Leslie Pollock. Dale graduated from Cass Tech High School, in Detroit, served in the US Army, and later moved to Lockport, where he worked for Harrison Radiator as Tool and Die and a model maker for over 40 years. Dale was a member of the American Legion, UAW Local 686 and St. Anthony's Church. He enjoyed model making and raising his family and grandchildren.


Beside his mother, Dale is survived by his wife of 52 years Charlene (Sills) Pollock; father of Sharon Ann (Tony) Renna of Florida, Michael (Sherri) Pollock of Texas, Eileen (Greg) Monaco of NY and the late Nancy Pollock. Dale was the grandfather of Heather Pollock of Fl., Haley and Brandon Pollock of TX., Austin Wargula of NY and the late Jared Millis; brother of Loretta (Richard) Schiff of CA., and Elaine (Mark) Brackon of MI. Dale is also survived by a very special friend Lynn (Peter) Heim of Lockport.


Friends may call Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held Thursday at 1 PM. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. Memorials to American Diabetes Association, Buffalo NY Office, 315 Alberta Drive, Suite 102, Amherst, NY 14226 would be appreciated by the family.

Friends may call Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM

Thursday at 1 PM at Funeral Home


Interment

Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
