Please share a memory of Donna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Donna Quible passed away Saturday August 20, 2011 at Niagara Hospice House. Born March 21, 1942 in Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Dorothy Townsend Pels.
Donna was President of Omega Pi Delta Sorority for Mount St. Mary's Academy during her senior year of high school. She was also Secretary of the Wheatfield Sno-Drifters Snowmobile Club during her active snowmobile days. Donna's greatest joy came from her involvement with children. She volunteered at DeWitt Clinton Elementary School over a span of 10 years while her neighbor's children and her own granddaughters attended the school. She was presented with an honorary lifetime membership to the DeWitt Clinton PTA for her love of all children. The children in Donna's granddaughters' classrooms always loved "Gramma" being there to help out. She was a second mother to both of her granddaughters, Kallie and Shawni Ingersoll, and her neighbors, Kelli and Matthew Grabowski. She attended their athletic events and all school activities as their biggest supporter.
Donna also began volunteering her time at Heritage Manor Assisted Living facility with her dog, Tippy, who became a therapy dog for the residents. Donna was a very giving and loving woman who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Donna is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ronald Quible. She was the mother of Kim Ingersoll of Lockport and Bryan Quible of Boston, Ma; grandmother of Kallie Ingersoll and Shawni Ingersoll.
