Evelyn Fritton passed away August 17, 2011 in Briody Nursing Home. Born in Burt, NY October 18, 1914 she was the daughter of Leo and Elizabeth(Fleischman) Daigler. She was predeceased by her husband James N Fritton and a son James Leo. Evelyn was a graduate of St Joseph's Academy and Bettinger Business Institute. She was also an active member of St Mary's Church for 70 years and its Altar and Rosary Society and Ladies of Charity. She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Desales Mother Club and St Joseph Academy Alumni Association.
Evelyn is survived by a son John (Carol) Fritton of Oswego, NY; a daughter Sally (Gary) Pardo of Kalamazoo, MI; a daughter in law Elva Fritton of Lockport; Grandmother of 8 Grandchildren and Great Grandmother of 14; one brother Richard Daigler of Lockport. She is predeceased by one sister, Sr Agnes Loretta and three brothers Norbert, Raymond, and Franklin.
Friends may call Friday from 3-7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where prayers will be offered Saturday morning at 9:30 AM and 10 AM at St Mary's RC Church, 5 Saxton Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to a charity of ones choice would be appreciated.
