Mary Catherine Richards passed away December 9, 2024 in Elderwood at Lockport.  Born April 28, 1935 in Lockport she was the daughter of Thomas W. and Mary T. (Pilhorn) Madden.  Mary was a 1952 graduate from St. Joseph’s Academy and a 1955 graduate from Sisters of Charity Nursing School.  She was a Registered Nurse, working for Lockport Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1995.  Prior to Lockport Memorial Hospital Mary also worked for South Ben Indiana Osteopathic, Mount View Health Care Facility, and George Washington University Hospital.   She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Academy Alumni Association, Sisters of Charity Alumni Association, and American Legion Auxiliary.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Robert T. Richards in 1982 and her sisters Joanne Madden and Virginia Danna.  She is survived by cousins and dear friends.
