Obituary of Howard E. Burns
Howard E. Burns passed away December 7, 2024, Pearl Harbor Day. Born September 19, 1947, in Lockport. He was the son of Eugene and Mildred (Goodenough) Burns. Howard served in the US Navy from 1967 to 1971 during the Vietnam Conflict. He received an Honorable Discharge as an Aviation, Electronic Radar Technician, Petty Class Office 2nd Class. He worked at Mayer Brothers in Somerset where he was an electrician. Howard was a huge baseball fan and was always up for a political debate with anyone. He had a great love for family and his pets.
Howard is survived by his children Angela (Ryan) Burns-Baker, Michelle (Gary) Burns-Sellard, and Brian Burns; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; sister Paulette Cochrane, Robert & Janice Goodenough and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Gary Burns and Patricia Burns.
