Obituary of Ronald Joseph Schmidt
Ronald “Ron” J. Schmidt passed away October 23, 2024 in Niagara Hospice House. Born April 7, 1948 in Newstead, NY he was the son of James J. Schmidt and Anna May Burns and step-son of James Melcher. He worked for 33 years at Delphi Thermal Systems where he was a Tool & Die and Model Maker, retiring in 2006. Ron enjoyed golfing, painting, drawing, and fishing.
Ron is survived by his wife Judith (Goodridge) Schmidt; brother James (Kendra) Melcher, Jr.; in-laws Debra (Gary) Zaciewski, Sandra (Chris) Gresart, Cindy (Douglas) Rickard, Robert (Tina) Goodridge, and the late Kathy Shaver; also several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, October 30th from 11 AM – 12 Noon, with funeral services immediately following at 12 Noon at the Salvation Army, 50 Cottage St., Lockport.
