Obituary of Penny Lee Moore
Penny L. Moore passed away at home in Lockport, NY surrounded by her loving family on October 4th, 2024. Penny was born in Latrobe, PA on August 24, 1949 to Franklin Mack Sr. and Martha Mack. The family moved to Oakfield when she was 5 years old and later moved to Fisher Road, Oakfield. While attending OACS she met the love of her life James Moore, Jr. They were married on August 30, 1969. One week later they departed for San Diego, CA for Jim’s last year in the Navy. She liked to say that, “2 of us went out there and 3 came back.” That’s where their daughter Tammy Lee was born. They settled in Appleton, NY and their son James III was born a year later.
Penny worked at Delphi Thermal for 30 years, she retired in 2006. That’s when her and Jim started to winter in Myrtle Beach, SC and continued until 2023. Penny liked to be with her grandkids, garden, feed her humming birds and orioles, and collecting seashells.
Penny is survived by husband James F. Moore Jr.; children Tammy (Mike) Boudreau and James F. (Amy) Moore III; grandkids Haley, Kylie, and Mackenzie Moore, Tyler and Gracie Boudreau and one great grandson Mason Arevalo; brothers Frank (Judy) Mack, Jr., Robert (Bonnie) Mack, and Scott (Kathy) Mack; sisters Christine Cain and Cathy (Norm) Baker; sisters-in-law Louise Austin and Cheryl Moore; special friends Tony & Debbie Bielak and Sharry Gorman.
