Obituary of Robert J. Nelson, Jr.
Robert J. Nelson Jr. passed Thursday September 12, 2024. Born in Lockport on June 14, 1957, he was the son of the late Robert J. Sr. and Genevieve Toussaint Nelson. Robert worked at Harrison Radiator then for Delphi Thermal Systems in Lockport for 30 years, retiring in 2006 and worked for Ridge Road Express as a bus driver for 16 years. Robert enjoyed taking care of sound for several bands performances, playing guitar and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Diane (nee Turner) Nelson, father of Nadine (Eric) Speer, Carly (Marcus Townsend) Nelson and Robert J. (Amanda) Nelson III. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Natalie, Jordan and Jayden Smith and their father Terry Smith; Brock Speer, Jonathan Cifelli and Ryan and Connor Nelson.
Friends may call on Wednesday Sept. 18th 3-7 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday Sept. 19th at 10 AM in Christ Episcopal Church, 7145 Fieldcrest Dr, Lockport, NY 14094. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
