Obituary of Gerald C. Everleth

Gerald Clifford Everleth passed away on Thursday September 12, 2024 at Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY.  Born in Saranac, NY, Gerald was the son of the late Clifford and Irene Garrow Everleth.  He worked for NYSEG, working in Plattsburgh, NY then transferred to Somerset, NY, and retired from Lancaster, NY.  He was a Volunteer Fireman in Saranac, NY where we was also the Past Chief.  Gerald was in a country western band since he was 14 years old and enjoyed singing, traveling and spending time with his family.

Gerald was the beloved husband of 64 years to Shirley (nee Bouyea) Everleth; father of Heather (Michael) Chagnon and Rebecca Everleth.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Mandy (James) Lockyer, Ashley (Jay) Dominy, Chelsey (Duncan) Gemmell, Lindsey (James Grey) Rascoe and great grandfather of Harmony and Willow Lockyer, Aiden Boule and Ella Grey; and several nieces and nephews.  Gerald was predeceased by his three sons and by his sister's and brothers in law, Shirley and Ellsworth Napper, and Betty and Jared Keysor.

Friends may call Wednesday September 18th 4-7 PM at Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Rd, Peru, NY 12972.  A burial will be held on Thursday September 19th at 11 AM at the Saranac Independence Cemetery, Saranac, NY.
