Obituary of Anita F. Enzinna
Anita F. (Renna) Enzinna passed away September 10, 2024 peacefully in St. Petersburg FL with her husband, son and grandson by her side. Born October 21, 1943 in Lockport, NY she was the daughter of the late Michael and Lilly (Molisani) Renna. Anita graduated from DeSales Catholic High School Class 1961 and went on to IBM School of Buffalo, and received a Lay Minister certification from D'Youville College, Buffalo NY. She worked in secretarial at Lockport Memorial Hospital, St. Joseph's RC Church, Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Upson Corporation, and ITT Technical Institute.
Anita was an active member of St. Joseph RC Church, Lockport and currently Our Lady of the Angels, Lakewood Ranch, FL. She served as Eucharist Minister and Lecturer at St. Joseph’s RC Church where she also taught CCD. She also served as a Lay Minister for the Diocese of Buffalo Communications Department, and was a member (and past President) of St Joseph's Altar Rosary Society. Anita produced and hosted a religious cable TV show in Western NY called "Speak Lord Your Servant Is Listening" for seven years and wrote a weekly religious column for the Lockport Union Sun & Journal for seven years called - "Heart To Heart".
Anita enjoyed snow skiing, snowmobiling, water skiing, boating, ceramics, loved playing cards, traveling and RVing the “lower 48”.
Anita is survived by her husband Joseph S. Enzinna whom she married September 4, 1965 in St. Joseph’s RC Church, Lockport; mother of Joseph Enzinna, Jr.; grandmother of Derick and Joseph M. Enzinna, Alexandra (Enzinna) Hotchkiss, and Jack S. Fix; great grandmother of Aidyn Enzinna, Serenity Enzinna, Suri Rose Enzinna, Harper Hotchkiss, and Kinsley Hotchkiss; sister-in-law Carla D’Onofrio and Joseph D’Onofrio; also several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Besides her parents she was also predeceased by her brother Charles M. Renna, Sr. and daughter Mariane A. (Enzinna) Fix.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, September 21st 9 AM – 10:30 AM at Prudden And Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport followed by a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
