Obituary of David Zyne

David E. Zyne passed away Saturday September 5, 2009 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport after a lengthy illness. Born September 17, 1943 in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Kreciejewski) Zyne. He received his Associate's Degree from Erie Community College. David was an electrician at Harrison Radiator for 37 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of Auxiliary Fire Police for the Rapids Volunteer Fire Co. and enjoyed working with electronics. David is survived by his wife of 42 years Linda (nee Roth) Zyne of Lockport. He was the father of Valerie (Philip) Zakrzewski of Lockport and Nancy (Shawn) Bollinger of Indianapolis, IN; grandfather of Nicholas and Casey Zakrzewski and Zachary, Brittany and Jacob Bollinger; and brother of Betty Jane Damminger of Va. and the late Marcia Flemming. Friends may call Tuesday afternoon 3 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where prayers will be offered Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.
