Obituary of Bettie Lennon

Bettie L. Lennon, wife of the late George W. Lennon, entered into rest on August 2, 2011 in Odd Fellows & Rebekah Health Care Facility. She was the daughter of Daniel Feeley Johnston and Clara Julia Baudendistel Johnston. She is survived by a brother James (Virginia) Johnston and Elve Johnston, wife of the late brother Daniel also Ralph D. Williams, husband of her deceased sister, Jane and many precious nieces and nephews and a dear lifelong friend Margaret Murphy Landrigan Maas.
Bettie was born on October 9, 1923 in Lockport, New York. She was a 1941 graduate of Lockport Senior High School and St. Josephs Business School in 1942. Bettie and George were married on June 28, 1947 in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church and were members of St. John's Parish. She was a member of the Lockport Memorial Hospital Guild and its past Vice President. She also belonged to the Lockport Senior Citizens Center and the American Contract Bridge League. Bettie enjoyed gardening, golf, bridge and traveling with her husband and friends.
Relatives and friends may call Friday evening 5-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery beside her late husband George.
