Obituary of Kathleen M. Kunkel
Kathleen M. Kunkel passed away July 31, 2024 in Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Tonawanda. Born November 9, 1943 in Buffalo she was the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Bonadio) McGinnis. Kathleen enjoyed reading, watching classic television shows, cooking, and shopping. She was predeceased by her husband Leo H. Kunkel on December 28, 2013.
Kathleen is survived by her two children Aliza (David) Edbauer and Craig (Hilary) Kunkel; five grandchildren Jeffrey, Renee, and Gregory Edbauer, Benjamin and Evan Kunkel; three sisters Arlene (late James) Newman, Patricia (late Clarence) Moorhouse, and Diane (Douglas) Martin; in-laws Gaylord "Greg" (Judith) Kunkel, Francis (late Rhea) Wilson, Marlene (late Neil) Kunkel and the late Marcelene (late Lawrence) Lederhouse, Myrna Kunkel and Stephen Kunkel; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations to Mental Health Advocates of WNY, 1021 Broadway, 5th Floor, Buffalo, NY 14212 or Horizon Health Services WNY, 637 Davison Rd., Lockport, NY 14094 would be greatly appreciated by the family.
