Obituary of Evelyn Schilling

Evelyn C. Schilling passed away Saturday July 30, 2011 in Elderwood Health Care at Crestwood. Born January 28, 1918 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clarence O. and Helen C. Pollinger Rapp. Evelyn graduated from Fosdick-Masten Park High School on June 26, 1935 and attended Grammar School No. 31 in Buffalo. She was a hairdresser in the late 1930's, worked at Loblaws Market and at Erie County Savings Bank for 16 years, retiring in 1977. Evelyn enjoyed knitting, cooking, baking, Buffalo News word games, family events and church activities. She is predeceased by her husband, Edward W. Schilling, who passed away May 8, 1999.
Evelyn was the mother of Barbara H. (Richard) Wurl of Darien, NY, Raymond E. (Suzanne) Schilling of Lockport and Sandra Schilling Price of Cleveland, OH. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Evelyn is predeceased by her grandson Raymond E. Schilling Jr. and brothers, John C. (Edna) Rapp and Earl C. (Norma) Rapp.
Friends may call Wednesday 3 to 8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where prayers will be offered Thursday morning at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM to be celebrated in St. Mary's R.C. Church, 5 Saxton Street, Lockport. Entombment will be in the St. John the Baptist Corridor of the Holy Family Chapel Mausoleum in Mt. Olivet Cemtery, Tonawanda, NY.

<h3>Services</h3>
Prayers will be offered at the Funeral Home Thursday morning at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM to be celebrated in St. Mary's R.C. Church, 5 Saxton Street, Lockport.
<h3>Interment</h3>
Entombment will be in the St. John the Baptist Corridor of the Holy Family Chapel Mausoleum in Mt. Olivet Cemtery, Tonawanda, NY.
