Obituary of Robert A. Nagy
Robert A. Nagy, 79, of Lockport, New York, entered into rest on July 20, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born September 10, 1944, in Winthrop, MA, to the late Sandor "Al" Nagy and Rose (Chioccola) Nagy.
Bob was a graduate from Newfane Central School. He worked 36 years at Harrison Radiator Division of GM in the Maintenance Department. Bob helped his parents on their family farm, assisting his father with growing vegetables for market. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren), gardening, and spending time outdoors. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lockport, NY.
Bob will be remembered for his sense of humor, the support he gave his family in their life pursuits, and supplying his family and neighborhood children with pumpkins every fall.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Martha (Kathke) Nagy; his daughters Deborah (Michael) Branch and Lynette Nagy. His grandchildren Philip (Crystal) Branch, Mary (Steven) Melara, and Terrance Branch. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Waylon, Charley, and Eleanor Branch.
He was predeceased in death by his in-laws Albert and Doris (Hill) Kathke and great-granddaughter Louise Branch.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service Thursday July 25th at 10 am officiated by Rev. Alan Bauch, at Cold Springs Cemetery, Lockport, NY.
