Marjorie K. Earl passed away July 25, 2011 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born January 22, 1913 in Painesville, OH she was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Bella (nee Judd) Kohankie. Marjorie worked as a company representative for Doncaster Clothing in Rutherfordton, NC. She enjoyed antiquing, playing bridge and bowling. Marjorie was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Lockport where she belonged to the Bishop Davis Group, the Lockport Town & Country Club, Junior Service League of Lockport, and the Mothers Council at DeVeaux School. She was predeceased by her husband William H. Earl, Sr. on June 17, 2007 whom she married September 16, 1939.
Marjorie is survived by her two children Marcia Earl Moss of Williamsville and Florida and William H. Earl, Jr. of Lockport; grandmother of Susan Castle (Peter) Ruh, Elizabeth Earl Moss, Lawrence C. (Carolina) Moss, Jr., Katherine Belle (Matthew) Beakman, Elizabeth Ann Earl, and William Henry Earl, III; great grandmother of Sarah Castle Ruh, Lucy Earl Ruh and Morgan Morrison Moss; sister of Ruth K. (late Robert) Hobbs of Lawrenceville, GA; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday 5-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 PM. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Donations to the Episcopal Community Services, 1064 Brighton Rd., Tonawanda, NY 14150 or the Salvation Army, 50 Cottage St., Lockport, NY 14094 or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
