Obituary of David Newton

David Newton passed away peacefully June 24, 2024 surrounded by loving family and friends. Born on January 8th 1972 he is the son of the late Johnny J. Newton and Edna (Goldsmith) Newton.

David was the successful business owner, alongside his wife, of Dave's Big Dogs in Gastonia, NC. He was a devoted family man and being a grandfather was his pride and joy. David enjoyed the thrill of gambling, watching sports with his son Damien, playing Madden and 2K, and he had a heart for animals. 

David is survived by his wife Erica (Swann) Newton. His children Damien Finklea, David J. Newton, Damier Newton, Dayquez Newton, two step-sons Joshua Swann, Tyler Swann and Nine Grandchildren. Siblings Johnny Newton, Jerome Newton, and Sheila Newton.  David is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. 

Relatives and Friends are invited to graveside services Thursday June 27th for only 1 hour 1:00 - 2:00pm at Oakwood Cemetery, 763 Portage Rd., Niagara Falls.
