Howard Thompson, age 89 went home to be with the Lord, June 20, 2024 after a brief illness surrounded by his family.

Known for his unwavering faith and jovial nature, he shared that faith with all that would listen, leading many into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of Heaven. Howard graduated from Lockport High School and attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing at Black Lake in Hammond, New York with his family every Labor Day weekend. Howard served our country in the Vietnam war and was honorably discharged in 1957.

Being predeceased by his loving wife Yolanda of 59 years in 2017, he is survived by his son Stephen of Nashville, Tennessee, his daughter Shari (Joseph) Hahn, grandchildren Sarah (Abraham) Keuhn, Aaron Hahn, Elizabeth Hermann and Derrick Picolo, all of Lockport; Adam (Delight) Hahn of Irondequoit and seven great grandchildren; Amos, Broderick, Gwenevere, Layla, Rachel, Kingston and Iyanna.

Friends and relatives may call Friday evening from 4-8pm at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home in Lockport. A private funeral will be held on Saturday at 10am with burial at Corwin Cemetery in Newfane, New York.  Donations to Evangelical University (Central Bible College), 1445 N Boonville Ave, Springfield, MO 65802 would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
