Obituary of Kevin E. Covel
Kevin E. Covel passed away on June 18, 2024, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born April 14, 1954 in Lockport, New York, he was the son of the late Franklin Covel and the late Florence (Witkop) Covel. Kevin worked as a banker for several banks for over 30 years, with his longest tenure at First Niagara Bank; he retired in 2014. He was a member of the Royalton Planning Board, and was a lifelong member of Rapids Bible Church, where he served as the Treasurer and sang in the choir. Kevin enjoyed golfing and traveling, and was a big fan of classic rock, the Buffalo Bills, and the Buffalo Sabres.
Kevin is survived by his sister Nancy (late Warren “Clip”) Smith, his beloved niece Dawn (R. Scott) DeLuca, and his cherished great-niece Ainsleigh DeLuca.
Friends and Family may call at Center Church, 7209 Rapids Rd, Lockport on Saturday, June 22nd at 10 AM, where a service will follow at 11AM. Interment will be in Huskey Cemetery.
