Obituary of Lawrence F. Kopacz
Lawrence F. Kopacz passed away June 12, 2024 under the care of Niagara Hospice and his family. Born November 18, 1937 in Niagara Falls he was the son of Lawrence and Mary (Zaleski) Kopacz. Larry worked for Harrison Radiator Division of GM for 42 years retiring in 1999. Working the midnight shift, he would work on his 90 acre beef farm during the day which he took great pride in caring. Larry found joy in the simple pleasures of life, having a great sense of humor and enjoyed to polka. He was an active member of St. Augustine’s RC Church where Larry proudly served as an usher for over 50 years. Known for his kindness, generosity, and loving nature Larry touched the lives of many. He enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills with his son Larry. Larry was an avid outdoorsman he enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting and trapping in younger years. But above all, Larry enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren while they would visit the farm.
Larry was predeceased by his wife, Caroline (Madden) Kopacz in 2015 and a sister Florence (James) Bucolo. He is survived by his two children Lawrence J. (Lisa) Kopacz and Theresa M. Bernacki; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two sisters Carol (David) Pietrkiewicz and Anna (Jay) Punaro; also several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
On behalf of the Kopacz Family, they would like to thank Niagara Hospice for their empathy and care of their father. Their kindness, understanding, and professionalism was truly appreciated.
