Obituary of Brenda Sue Kwoka
Brenda Sue Kwoka passed away June 3, 2024 in Lockport Memorial Hospital Mount St. Mary’s Site. Born February 25, 1940 in Lockport she was the daughter of William and Thelma (Woodruff) Taylor. She worked in production at Sherwood Selpac Division of Harsco Corp in Lockport. She also worked as a lunch monitor in the Lockport City School District after retirement. Brenda was a member of All Saints Parish where she was once active with the Altar & Rosary Society. She was a 67 year member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Brenda enjoyed reading, baking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Kwoka on October 16, 2009 and son James F. Kwoka.
Brenda is survived by her sons Mark (Julie) Kwoka and Sean (Jennifer) Kwoka; grandchildren Ashleigh Kwoka, Jacob (Lauren) Kwoka, Jennifer (Henry Fumerelle) Kwoka, Jordyn (Ryan) Smorol, Conor (Zahraa Kareem) Kwoka, Ethan Tatro, Megan Tatro, and Carson (Alyssa Cline) Tatro; great grandchildren Caden and Owen Hughey; siblings Patricia Fritz and William (Donna) Taylor, Jr.; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband and son Brenda was also predeceased by her sisters Sally Ventrelli, Eleanor Heiman, Mary Elizabeth Stoll, and Jean Zotto.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, June 6th from 4-7 PM in Prudden And Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 7th at 10 AM in All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
